Johanna Kasberg

my name is Johanna (or Jojo) and I graduated as a vet in Hanover in 2014. Currently I am working on my doctoral thesis, which is about reproduction in lions, and as a stand-in at the Allwetterzoo in Münster.

Since I was a child I wanted to be a wildlife vet and have been involved with different fields of zoo work by now. I worked as a guide in Hanover zoo during my studies and tried to gather as much hands on experience as possible in zoo and wildlife medicine.

My first encounter with the EAZWV was the Student Workshop 2011 in Hanover. After profiting of two Student Workshops and two Student Summer Schools, it was about time to get further involved.

I would also like to continue the great work of our former Student Board, as I think they did a really good job in representing the students in the organization as well as supporting fellow students who share our interest in the field of zoo and wildlife medicine.
