Student Secretary |
Jesús Carazo Casas studentsecretary@eazwv.orgI am a final-year veterinary student at the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain. Since I was a child, I have been passionate about becoming a zoo and wildlife veterinarian,a goal that has guided my academic and professional journey. Over the years, I have completed externships at institutions such as Trevor Zoo in the United States, “Los Sauces” Exotic Veterinary Clinic, and the Madrid Zoo-Aquarium, and I have also volunteered at the Kuna Ibérica Wildlife Rescue Center. Through these hands-on experiences, I’ve developed practical animal care skills and gained a deeper understanding of both the challenges and rewards of working with zoo and wildlife animals. As Student Secretary, my primary objectives are to strengthen connections between students and professionals in zoo and wildlife medicine, foster networking opportunities through events and collaborative projects, and support existing initiatives like the summer workshops and online lectures. I believe these efforts will help students flourish in this inspiring field. I am excited to contribute to this vibrant, passionate community and to support fellow students who share the dream of pursuing careers in wildlife and zoo medicine. If you have any questions, ideas, or simply want to connect, feel free to reach out. Let’s work together to make this community an even more remarkable space for everyone! |
