We invite you for a free online webinar: ZIMS SAMPLE COLLECTION AND STORAGE
We want to encourage daily sampling routine in zoos and aquariums along with sample registration in ZIMS to develop conservation research. This webinar is meant for all zoo and aquarium staff involved in the sample collection and storage. We welcome participants from all geographical regions and zoo organisations, and we offer 2 dates, both with the exact same content, to facilitate participation:

Webinar program:
Rachel Thompson, a Species360 Veterinarian, will walk attendees through the steps to: - Create samples in ZIMS for Medical
- Find samples that have already been created
- Place samples into storage
- Reserve samples for specific projects
- Remove/send out stored samples
- Track where samples have been sent
- Troubleshooting and Q&A from the audience
Baptiste Mulot, Veterinarian and EAZA-EAZWV Joint Resources Working Group Chair will share experiences regarding organising sample collection and registration (including legacy collection) in Your institution.
Anna Mekarska, EAZA Biobank Coordinator will explain how the Biobank works and how the samples serve conservation research.
We also invite participants from the EAZA region for a follow up in person workshop organised on the 9th of October at 2 PM during the EAZA Annual Conference in Leipzig
