Ever wondered what to do when a bird comes into your emergency shift at the vet clinic? This
is your opportunity to learn more about dealing with avian patients in
such special medical situations! Lara Scherer, ACZM and ECZM resident
from Zürich will give us the ins and outs on the important basics of
emergency medicine in birds and she’ll discuss some of her most
interesting cases. After graduating from the University of Veterinary
Medicine in Vienna in 2020, Lara worked in a small animal & exotics
practice in Germany before doing a specialized internship in exotic
animal medicine at the Clinic for Zoo Animals, Exotic Pets and Wildlife
at the University of Zürich. She then started her ACZM General Zoo
Health and alternative ECZM Zoo Health Management residency there in
2023, and is now in her second year of training. Join us on the 21st to
have all your questions about avian emergencies answered!
Which date? 21st of February 2024 (21/02/2024) What time? 19:00 GMT+1 Where?
