We are excited to host this year and can't wait to share African Grasslands, Asian Highlands, Glacier Bay Landing and Children's Adventure Trails & Alaskan Adventure. We have some fun events planned and certainly a full week of meetings and presentations to advance felid management, conservation and care.

Hotel notes: Room rates for our block are $144/night – all rooms are 2-room suites and inclusive of complimentary adult beverages and appetizers during the evening reception and a full hot breakfast buffet.
Free shuttle transportation to and from the airport and to the zoo are inclusive as well.
The hotel is also conveniently located in our wonderful Old Market Downtown area full of arts and entertainment, walking distance to the Durham Art Museum, excellent dining and shopping.

If driving, please be advised there is a non-negotiable nightly parking fee of $17/night at the hotel.

Foundation Husbandry Course – This is our annual course dedicated to advance the care of felids. 

Advanced Husbandry Course – Reproduction – Our Advanced Husbandry Course has a prerequisite requirement of the Foundation Husbandry Course. Therefore, this class is closed and requires instructor approval. If you are an approved student in this course, you will receive a separate registration link that will include all options for the TAG/SSP and post conference tour; therefore, you do not need to use the above link. On Saturday, July 20, we will head to the Lee G. Simmons Conservation Park and Wildlife Safari to visit the Cheetah Breeding and new Tiger Breeding Centers in Ashland, Nebraska. We will then head to Lincoln, Nebraska to visit the Lincoln Children's Zoo. Lunch and transportation will be included. We will be back to the hotel no later than 6:00 PM. Cost for the day trip is $35.00 and will be available as an option as you use one of the registration links included.

Abstracts will be submitted as you register online (all on one submission form this year). There is a 500-word limit but if you need additional space or assistance, please contact me at and we can accommodate. Please submit your abstract by June 1, 2019 – this is before the late registration cut-off due to program printing requirements.

We will once again be offering two, $750 scholarships in honor of our research history and past scientists. They will be designated for field conservation (1 scholarship) and research (1 scholarship). The deadline to submit materials is May 17, 2019. Please send us a message for more details on this.

Our sponsors are necessary to offset the increasing costs of meeting spaces, AV equipment rentals, and food and beverage costs that are associated with our growing meeting. Please consider asking your institution or vendors if a sponsorship opportunity, to the support our Husbandry Courses or TAG/SSP meetings, fits into their annual budget. Sponsorships do include waived registrations based on levels. Please send us a message for more details.

A favorite event during our Zoo Day is always the Silent Auction to benefit field conservation projects for our felid species. You can bring your donated items along with you and drop them off at registration, or you can send ahead of time (preferred method) to:

IMPORTANT DATES - Mark Your Calendars

May 17 – Deadline to submit application materials and abstract for the Emerging Scientist Scholarship.

June 1 – Deadline for all abstract submissions through the registration links and deadline for registering for either Husbandry Course. At this time, wait listed students will be identified.

June 20 – Last day to book a block room and last day of early registration. After June 20, registration will be $275.00.
