The goal of this workshop is to develop theoretical knowledge, decision-making and practical skills on trauma in avian and small mammals.
This course has been designed for orthopedic surgeons and veterinarians in practice, working with avian and small mammal cases, wishing to gain a higher level of expertise in their approach to orthopedic conditions and trauma in these species.
This course also includes an insight into biomechanics and bone healing of the avian musculoskeletal system as well as in deep discussion on raptors tendons injuries and their repair.
This is an invaluable opportunity for participants to gain real hands-on practical experience (non-locking implants, locking implants and external fixators ESF) under the supervision of specialists in order to increase confidence to undertake all procedures in their own practice.
