EAZWV Student Grants

We are excited to announce that EAZWV is now offering Student Grants to help under and post-graduate students access the many benefits of EAZWV membership.

To create a fairer system in which students who receive, or are able to receive a stipend or salary for their work, are differentiated from students who are still in Vet School, as of 2019 the registration fees for EAZWV Post-Graduate Students have increased. However, in an effort to use this as an opportunity for all students, the EAZWV Student Board has successfully proposed the creation of Student Grants, to where all these extra funds are now being allocated.

We believe that by increasing the fee for postgraduate students the EAZWV risks losing some of these members. As such, the main goal of these funds should be to help postgraduate students for whom the increase in membership cost would make it prohibitive to still be a EAZWV member.

We also want to allow European students that are truly dedicated to zoological medicine, but possess no or very low income, to still take advantage of the EAZWV membership. Especially if these students live in European countries with comparatively less monetary means, as we believe that reduced income is one of the main reasons for the low membership representation from eastern and southern European countries.

With this in mind we are now offering 4 types of Student Grants. You can see below all the details about how and when applications open, and here you will find the point system the Student Board will be using to select the successful applicants. You will be required to send your CV and an Application Form which will be available above to All applications will be anonymised before the selection process, and the Student Board ( will email you with the results.
