Thank you for your interest in yesterday’s joint FVE webinar with FLI and EuFMD on Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) in Europe. The webinar focused on the recent FMD outbreaks across Europe and strategies to enhance resilience. The recording is now available! Watch the full webinar HERE. FVE Vice President Jane Clark moderated the webinar and was joined by our expert speakers: - Prof. Dr. Carola Sauter-Louis (FLI) provided insights into the recent outbreak in Germany (January 2025) focusing on field investigations, laboratory diagnostics, and the coordinated response measures implemented.
- Polly Compston (EuFMD) presented European-level collaboration, strategies and challenges in responding to this outbreak (disease prevention and management).
- Martin Chudý (Chief Veterinary Officer of the Slovak Republic) shared the most recent experiences and insights.
