EAZWV March 17 News!

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Continuing education is getting more and more important as knowledge is growing fast in our profession (and in the field of zoo and wildlife biology generally). EAZWV strives to provide a diverse selection of educational opportunities to support our members. These are not only for our full and student members but also available to vets working in range counties through our subsidized Developing Nation Membership and to non-members who are welcomed to our conference and workshops.

“The Zoo and Wildlife Health Conference” jointly organized with our partner the Institute of Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW) is the biggest of these educational events in our calendar - and is now just around the corner (24-27 May 2017). We are very pleased to have had an excellent set of abstracts submitted. We have taken your feedback on board and we are now, for the first time, involving a whole team of EAZWV members to rate the abstracts and pull together an excellent scientific program made by the membership for the membership. I am sure this conference will offer you high quality continuing education, time with friends and colleagues and of course opportunities to visit Berlin, a pulsating city with a great history.

The quality and variety of our Association is dependent on active, engaged members. We are trying to involve you more and more. We would like to hear your ideas and involve you in delivery of the EAZWV strategic plan. We are launching our new working groups at the Berlin conference and will also fill you in by email for those who can't attend. Please contact the board, membership@eazwv or post on our forum at any time if you would like to play a more active role. With your experience and expertise, we can help each other help wildlife and build friendships across countries and continents.

I am looking forward seeing you in Berlin at the Zoo and Wildlife Health Conference. If you have not registered yet, please click here and do so now.

Be safe and make the difference
