Anni PELKONENstudenteo@eazwv.orgHi everyone! My name is Anni, and I am the Education Officer. I am from Finland, but some years back I discovered my love for Portugal, where I have been living for almost five years now. I am currently studying veterinary medicine in the University of Lisbon. Since I was a kid I have a passion towards all living things, nature and want to learn more about the interconnectedness of everything. The funny thing is that I never had even realized that there is such a thing as wildlife veterinarians, and it was only in vet school that I decided that I want to pursue a career in this field. My favorite place in the world is a quiet Finnish forest with a lake nearby. When I’m not studying, you might find me volunteering in an animal shelter, bouldering or enjoying a cup of tea while enjoying getting lost in a good book. I am very enthusiastic about my new position, since this association is unique for students and has a crucial role in helping students to follow their passion, networking and finding their way to their chosen careers. I am eager to contribute my skills and passion to this cause and continue the amazing work that the previous student boards have done.
