| Student Education Officer |
Victoria Kobbevikstudenteo@eazwv.orgMy name is Victoria Kobbevik, and I am a final-year veterinary student and long-time member of EAZWV. Since joining at the start of my studies, I have followed the work of the Student Section closely and have applied for a position at almost every election. This year will be my final opportunity to contribute as a board member. Throughout my studies, I have sought out opportunities to broaden my knowledge and network through externships across the world. These experiences have reinforced my passion for conservation and my belief that knowledge should be shared openly — I strongly dislike gatekeeping and want to make education and opportunities more accessible to all student members. I am currently serving my second term in the Activities Committee of EAZWV, which has given me valuable insight into the association’s student work and strengthened my ability to collaborate across cultures and disciplines. In addition, I am helping to develop an immobilisation course for student members, which I see as an important step toward providing more practical and career-relevant training. I would be honoured to continue contributing as Educational Officer, supporting the board in developing initiatives that inspire and equip students for their future careers. My motivation to join the board comes from a genuine wish to give back to the community that has supported me throughout my studies, and I believe my experience, dedication, and enthusiasm would make me a strong asset to the team.If you have any questions or just want to reach out, feel free to contact me on studentEO@eazwv.org. |
